Concerning Our Words- II

YAHUAH has described David ben Jesse of Yahudah, as a man after His own heart.

What is the Almighty’s very own heart?

It is written, that of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

This is a very good clue and hint, to finding out what the heart of the Most High is.

Since out of the treasury of a being’s heart he speaks, then the words that emanate from the being bear an uncanny reflection of that being’s heart. So it is also, with the Supreme Being.

Let us read.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:1.

This same Word, became flesh, and dwelt amongst mankind, as Yahusha, who is the Son.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 1:14

To seek after God’s own heart, is to seek after his Word, and to obey it.

And God said: ‘Let there be light.’ And there was light.- Genesis 1:3

The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

John 1:2-4

Of the abundance of the Father’s heart he speaks the Word, and his heart has treasures of life and light! HalleluYAH.

King David  of Judah  was chosen because he sought after God’s own heart, and King Saul of Benjamin rejected, because, in the words of Samuel ben Elkanah:

Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.

If a master tells a servant to do something, and he obeys the words of his master, he obeyed the master himself.  How can we obey someone and pay no attention to that person’s commandments, or that person’s words?

YAH speaks no lies, his Word is life, truth and light, and one cannot obey the Father without obeying his Word; his Son.  Saul died by suicide , on a battlefield.  David however, died in old age, after enjoying wealth and honor. This is what legitimizes John 14:6–

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Abba, let the readers of this writing be like David seeking after God’s own heart, and not like Saul, who was disobedient, in Yahusha’s mighty name, Amen!
